Terms and Conditions of Use
CHAPTER 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS
Article
1 (Purpose)
The
purpose of these terms and conditions is to stipulate the basic terms and
procedures for using the Internet service (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”)
provided by “www.hyundaibiolandmedical.com” (hereinafter referred to as the “Website”).
Article
2 (Effect and Change of Terms and Conditions)
①These terms and conditions shall take effect upon notification to
users through a pop-up window on the Website’s main screen or other means
(including membership registration page, notice board on the Website).
②The Website may change the contents of these Terms and Conditions,
and the changed Terms and Conditions shall take effect upon notification in the
same manner as set forth in Paragraph 1.
Article
3 (Definition of Terms)
Definitions
of terms used in these Terms and Conditions are as follows:
①Member: It refers to an individual who has entered into a Service
use agreement with the Website or has been given a user ID.
②Applicant: It refers to an individual applying for membership.
③ID: It refers to a combination of letters and numbers determined by
the member and approved by the Website for member identification and Service
use.
④Password: It refers to a combination of letters and numbers
determined by the member to confirm that the member matches the ID given to the
member and to protect the member's confidentiality.
⑤Termination: It means that the Website or member cancels the Service
use agreement.
Article
4 (Provision of “Service”)
①The “Website” performs the following duties:
a. Provision
of product information and academic materials, event information, etc. related
thereof.
CHAPTER 2 MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION
Article
5 (Membership Registration)
①Basic information on the Website may be viewed without registration,
but only Website members may access certain information.
②Membership registration is automatically approved when the applicant
fills in the membership information according to the registration form
prescribed by the “Website” and then expresses his/her intention to agree to
these Terms and Conditions.
③Since only the Website members may access certain information
pursuant to Paragraph 1 above, minors under the age of 18 under the Civil Act
shall not register as members.
Article
6 (Loss of Membership)
①All user information entered in the membership application form shall
be deemed to be actual data. Users who do not enter their real name or actual
information shall have no legal protection and may have limited Service, and
the Website may terminate their account.
Article
7 (Change in User Information)
If the
member information entered at the time of application for use changes, the
member shall amend it online, and the member shall be responsible for any
problems that arise due to failure to change it.
CHAPTER 3 OBLIGATIONS OF WEBSITE AND MEMBER
Article
8 (Obligations of Website)
①The Website provides the following Service to members:
a. Provision
of product information and academic materials, event information, etc. related
thereof.
②The Website shall not divulge, disclose, or distribute member’s
personal information acquired in connection with Service provision to a third
party without the member’s consent, and shall not use it for commercial
purposes other than Service-related work. Provided,
however, exceptions shall be made in the following cases:
a.
Where there is a request from a state agency pursuant to provisions of laws
such as the Framework Act on Telecommunications;
b. Where
there is a purpose of investigating a crime or requested by the Information and
Communication Ethics Committee; and
c. Otherwise,
where there is a request in accordance with the procedures stipulated in relevant
laws.
Article
9 (Obligations of Member)
①Members shall not engage in any of the following acts when using the
Service:
a. Fraudulent
use of another member's ID;
b. Registering
false information when applying for membership or changing member information;
c. Reproducing
information obtained from the “Website” for purposes other than simple
information viewing by members or using it for editing, altering, publishing
and broadcasting or providing it to others, without prior consent of the
“Website”;
d. Infringement
of the Website's copyright or other rights, including the copyright of a third
party;
e. Damaging
the reputation or interfere with the business of the Website or any other third
party;
f. Any
act that is objectively judged to be associated with a crime; and
g. Any
other act that violates relevant laws.
②Members shall comply with relevant laws, matters stipulated in these
Terms and Conditions, and Service use guidelines and precautions.
CHAPTER 4 PROVISION AND USE OF SERVICE
Article
10 (Member's Obligations Regarding Member ID and Password Management)
①Members shall be responsible for all management of their ID and
password. Members shall be fully responsible for all consequences resulting
from negligence or misuse of the ID and password given to them.
②If their ID is used illegally or any other security violation
occurs, members shall notify the Website.
CHAPTER 5 MISCELLANEOUS
Article
11 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
①Litigation between the ‘Website’ and the ‘Member’ regarding the Service
and copyrights shall be under the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court
that has jurisdiction over the registered address, or over the place of residence
if there is no registered address, of the “User” at the time of filing the
litigation. Provided, however, if the
registered address or the place of residence of the “Member” at the time of
filing the litigation is unclear or if the complaint is a foreign resident, it
shall be filed in a court of competent jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure
Act.
②Korean law shall apply to lawsuits regarding the Service and
copyrights filed between the “Website” and the “Member.”’

(Enforcement date) These Terms and Conditions
shall take effect on February 19, 2024.
